Mission Statement
The North Dakota Optometric Association exists to unite the optometrists within the state of North Dakota, to establish closer relationships among its members, to improve the art and science of optometry, to maintain high standards within the profession, to promote better public understanding of the profession, to foster cooperation and understanding between doctors of optometry and allied health care professionals, and to ensure the citizens of North Dakota access to complete eye care services.
The mission of the profession of optometry is to fulfill the vision and eye care needs of the public through clinical care, research, and education; all of which enhance the quality of life.
Doctors of optometry are independent primary health care providers who examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of the visual systems, the eye and associated structures, as well as diagnose related systemic conditions.
